What are the duties of Shipwright Artificer in Nigerian Navy?

As a Shipwright Artificer, you will build and repair boats of all sizes, from light vessels like canoes to heavier vessels like naval ships and yachts.

You’ll work in shipyards, small boat yards, marinas or other workshops & be involved in interpreting plans, blueprints and specifications, creating plans for fabrication and cutting, drawing lines and reference points on slip ways and dry docks.

You’ll also be involved in assembling boat shells and raising hulls, supervising pre-launch testing and launching procedures.

What rank is Shipwright Artificer in Nigerian Navy?

The rank of a Nigerian Navy Shipwright Artificer immediately after recruitment is “Ordinary Rating”.

It is the first non-commissioned rank that successful recruits obtain after passing out of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS).

How much is Nigerian Navy Shipwright Artificer paid monthly?

The Nigerian Navy salary is based on ranks.

And since the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) entry rank is Ordinary Rating.
