What are the duties of a Driver/Mechanic in Nigerian Navy?

As a Driver/Mechanic, you will be responsible for the putting in order & controlling of items in the Transport store. Performing minor repairs as changing brake pads, oil and oil filters etc.

Driving naval vehicles for the transportation of authorized personnel & delegations, delivery or collection of goods etc.

Being at a permanent disposition in case of emergency & assisting in case of broken vehicle.

What rank is Driver/Mechanic in Nigerian Navy?

The rank of a Nigerian Navy Driver/Mechanic immediately after recruitment is “Ordinary Rating”.

It is the first non-commissioned rank that successful recruits obtain after passing out of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS).

How much are Nigerian Navy Driver/Mechanics paid monthly?

The Nigerian Navy salary is based on ranks.

And since the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) entry rank is Ordinary Rating.

Requirements for Nigerian Navy Recruitment for Driver/Mechanics

• Current Mechanic apprenticeship certificate and evidence of driving experience with a valid driver’s licence as well as a letter of recommendation [as a mechanic] from past or present employer is required.
